The stain-fighting power to remove over 100 stains, with the new Purex Plus Clorox2!
The Purex Brand provided me with a sample of Purex plus Clorox 2 detergent in exchange for a product review. However, all opinions expressed here are my own.

I have a confession to make, I LOVE to do laundry! I know what you’re thinking, come over and do mine; but it’s not like that. I’ve spent the last 5 months learning about you guess it; laundry. I’ve learned which products work best on my large household of stains including four boys who are forever getting dirty. I love the stain-fighting of Clorox bleach but I can’t stand the smell in comes Purex Plus Clorox2!
I put together 5 reasons why mom’s need to use Purex Plus Clorox 2:
*Safe on ALL colors – Meaning you can use it on both your whites AND darks!
*Available in two light scents – Choose from Sunny Linen or Original Fresh Scent
*Contains powerful Clorox stain-fighting enzymes – You want enzymes in your detergent
*Affordable detergent on any budget
*Works on 100 different stain types
One thing we’re constantly washing (and bleaching) is socks! They seem to get so dirty, bleaching doesn’t always get them clean. I recently washed a bunch of socks with just Purex Plus Clorox 2 detergent and the results were incredible. They were remarkably clean, and that’s without any bleach! Laundry detergent is something that we’re always going through in my house and being a large household we have lots of laundry, so I had lots of time to use this detergent and I love it. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who has tough stains and doesn’t want to spend lots of time using different pre-treaters.
Here’s a tip, if you have a stuck-on stain try pre-treating the stain with the Purex Plus Clorox2 Detergent. Rub a little onto the fabric and into the stain, let sit for 5 minutes and wash as usual. The stain will be gone. I can’t say anything bad about this product, it does what it is intended to do and washes clothing well while removing lots of different stains.

Jacqueline is a thirty-something mother to five children under the age of twenty. While she’s not busy attending to her large family she enjoys writing about organization, crafts, and DIY projects, creating recipes, and blogging about her family.

Toughest stain I had to treat was when a ball point pen somehow got broke, ink stained a sofa pillow. I tried every stain remover on the market , still a faint outline remained. I finally took it to a dry cleaner and they somehow removed the stain.
I’ve heard people have lots of success with either hair spray or hand sanitizer on ink stains.
Ink is the toughest we have to face. If you make the mistake of letting it dry, it will be almost impossible. If you get to it early, it is more manageable. Most food stains will rinse out with just water if you get them immediately.
Excellent advice. 🙂
Oh our little one had a bloody nose the other night during the night. I am still working on the blood stain. So hard to get out. I would love to try this!
My little guy gets them too, try a little peroxide.
The worst stains were spots that I didn’t know were on the clothes and I washed and dried ’em–then saw the spots! Have some small black spots on a light spring jacket. I think they are there permanently now!
Try pre-treating with OxiClean see if that helps any. 🙂
My toughest stain was mud/dirt and popsicles stains!
OMG! Yes! Popsicle stains are the WORSE!
The toughest stain that I consistently have to get rid of is chocolate. It’s horrible!
My toughest stains are when my daughter eats blueberries. I try to rinse them right away and then soak them till I am ready to wash.
Grease stains are difficult but using Dawn’s dishwashing soap to pretreat solves the issue.
Dawn works great on grease stains; just rinse throughly before throwing it in your washer. My mom actually uses baby powder on grease stains. I was skeptic until I washed something of her when she used it and it works!
I had grass and blood stains from a skinned knee and I pre soaked the clothing before washing as well as a spot stain remover. It got the stain mostly out.
Try peroxide on the blood 🙂
