{DIY} Mickey Mouse Banner

Create your own custom banner for your own #DisneySide party or any Disney themed party for a low cost!

I recently had the opportunity to host my own #DisneySide @Home Celebration party and I decided to add a few custom designed pieces to add to our Disney fun. You can find a lot of inspiration on Pinterest (which is where I found this). For this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to make your own Mickey Mouse banner for less than $10 depending on the supplies you need to purchase.

What You Need:
*Ribbon (I found some cute Mickey & Minnie Mouse ribbon at Walmart)
*Colored poster board (Red, black and yellow)
*Scissors
*Glue
*Stencils (Optional)
*Mouse Silhouette Printout & Mouse Pants Printout

Directions:

Print out the Mickey Mouse Silhouette printout here and cut it out.

Now take the black poster board and trace the face as many times as you need.
(I used the whole poster board and it came out to about 14 heads)

Cut out the heads and set aside.

Take the Mickey Mouse Pants printout here or trace the bottom half of the mouse head (which is what I did) cut out the template and trace as many times as needed. Cut out.

Now assemble the mouse heads; glue the red pants at the bottom of the mouse and let dry.

Take the yellow poster board and the stencils and trade out the words you need. I traced out Disney Side with 14 heads it gave me 4 extras which I left blank. Cut them out and glue in order.

Organize the order of your Mickey Mouse heads and roll out your ribbon; I started by making a loop and gluing it down to give it a sturdy way to hold up (do at both ends).

Glue the ribbon to the back of the head; you could measure out how far you need to space it if you want. However; I just winged it.

Now, you just created a beautiful custom made the banner for less than $10! A great way to show your #DisneySide at your next party; it would be a lot easier if you had a mouse stencil or die cutter. However; you have to improvise when necessary; it only took me a few minutes to find a mouse silhouette that worked for me. Let me know what you think of this simple DIY project in the comments below and don’t forget to pin this to Pinterest and share on Facebook too!
