You’ve seen me talk a lot about Favado, but do you really know how to use it?
Using Favado is not rocket science, with a few simple tricks and tips we’ll get you ready to find the best deals at your favorite stores. Here is a written/pictorial on how to use Favado. Video how-to coming soon.
First one must download the app to your smartphone, tablet or device. It is available in both the Google Play store as well as in the Apple App Store. You can also sign up here to skip the next few steps.
Once you’ve downloaded the app launch it; (mind all the apps I have on my phone).
Sign up for Favado on the app or here online; whichever you prefer.
If you’re already signed up please log in for personalized deals.
Enter your zip code or allow for location services to find your location.
Click on the + sign to find stores within the area of your zip code. Add your favorite stores.
Once you added your favorite stores you can slide the button to “on” to view the store(s) desired. You can also compare stores by selecting one or more stores.
View each sale item by selecting each category to find which item you want to purchase.
Reading the “match-up”. To read the deal is simple; we tell you the item on sale, its size and how much it is. To get the sale price requires you to use no coupons. In the picture, it shows the Dole Pineapple juice is on sale for $2.00. You can go to the store and get the juice for $2.00 using no coupons.
However, if you’re savvy shopper you want to get that cost lower. Click on “Get for $1.50” and it will bring a drop down option on what coupon(s) are available and where to find them. For this deal we only have a printable coupon, if you have printed this coupon already you are set to get your juice for $1.50. If you haven’t printed the coupon yet you can add this to your list to email it yourself. At present time we don’t have an in-app coupon printing option.
You can do this for each store you shop at; some stores may double your coupon(s) up to a certain value. This store does not, however, if they did we could get the juice for only $1.00. Also, remember when reading these match-ups price listed is for 1 item only, so if something is 2/$4 you’re going to see the price for one item. If your coupon is for multiples (such as 2-3 of that item it is divided by the coupon value.) For example, the Kleenex are on sale 4/$4, we have a coupon for .40/4 so each item we’re going to save .10 off each one so since we have to buy 4 to use that coupon we’re going to pay .90 for each box of tissue.
